This little monkey ended up in my sketchbook as a warm-up drawing. I’ve been using a website that shows random animal photos, and you can set a timer for how long you want to draw each one. It’s such a good way to start, especially on days when making art feels a little heavy or overthought. I think time pressure can actually be really helpful. If you only have one minute or three minutes, you don’t have the space to overwork everything. You have to move intuitively and trust what you see. And sometimes the nicest things happen in that short amount of time. The drawing stays fresh, a bit more loose. I’ll share the website here: https://www.sketchdaily.net
