A little sketchbook experiment in a colour palette that made me very happy. I used wet-on-wet for the trees, letting the colours move and blur into each other. I always love that part: when the paint does something soft and unexpected before I come back in with more detail. For this one I used Schmincke super granulating watercolours, with pencil layered on top. I really like the contrast between the watery textures and the drawn lines. It feels like a small page, but one that gave me a lot to explore.
