Lidl launches “Too Good to Waste” Boxes • The fruit and vegetable ‘Too Good to Waste’ boxes will contain approximately 5kg of fruit and veg for just £1.50. The fruit and veg will still be good to eat, just that they aren’t perfect • If this trial is successful and if rolled out to all Lidl stores, there could be a saving of approximately 10,000 tonnes of surplus produce a year! • This concept will force big supermarkets to think differently and participate more in the durable crisis
